Segway Writing Exercise (10Minutes)

In the first picture, I notice that people in this picture are all very fat, so I sart wondering is this street named "fatty Street"? Seems like some of them are too fat to walk, so they just nail ther oily asses on those wheels. I'm sure it will cause a great damage if the "wheel accident" take place.
In the second picture, some people are rolling their wheels on a path. Is this a sort of sport? Does this facility practically help people lose their weight and become healthy? Or is pcture 1 the result of picture 2? The park looks wonderful, the lake appears beautiful, but those people on wheels just look so terrible.

In my opinion, students in university are not required to study art and music, but it does not mean they do not need those tastes. Basically speaking, university is a place for students to learn freely, that is, students are able to learn whatever subjects that are interesting to them. If a student has no tastes of art or music at all, but has other interests and talents, he/she certainly has the right to choose subjects other than art or music. On the other hand, if a student who is interested in art or music, it is natural that he/she will choose subjects because they fit his/her interest.
Art and music educations are beneficial, but they are not that necessary to every student. It will be a torture if students are foreced to engage in too many subjects that do not meet their interest, and will simply waste their time and energy.

What is Academic Writing?

Academic writing is a kind of writing style that conatins more intese vocabulary, structure and logic than ordinary composition training. That is the reason why most of people who accept higher educations have to equip the abilities to write academic ariticles by hook or by crook. Although not everyone in universities or colleges will devote themselves in the academic field in the future, it can be a way or chance to help them think deeper and express themselves accurately and more logically, instead of creating lots of fantasies when offering their thoughts.
The value of academic writing is that it is often more objective, persuasive and reasonable than common speeches and writings. For one thing, when writing an academic ariticle, the writer cannot simply write down whatever comes into his/her mind, instead, he/she has to offer actual proofs to supportor defend his opinions. After filtering and organizing numbers of information, the article can finally be published. In addition, writers should never commit plagiarism when composing their works, so they ought to provide readers where the adopted information come from as clear as possibl in order to guarantee other writer's idea and creativity.
One way to improve academic writing skill is to try to read academic articles as much as possible, and then try to immitate the tone of those writers, the vocabulary they use as well as the way they perceive things. Since adademic writing itself is a process of information collecting and digesting, to read more and practice continually is surely the best access of making improvements and become a mature academic writer.
